System Setup

Install Raspberry Pi OS (Desktop or Lite with GUI).

Configure bilingual typing (English + Hebrew) with proper fonts, RTL support, and easy keyboard switching.

Disable all internet access permanently (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet).

Editing Environment
Page awareness

Show page breaks, margins, and page numbers.

Print preview so the writer knows where the page ends.

Basic formatting

Bold, italic, underline.

One or two fonts only (e.g., Hebrew + English default fonts).

Font size (small/normal/large — not 200 choices).

Paragraph alignment (LTR, RTL, center, justify).

Hebrew & English typing

Full RTL/LTR support (cursor and punctuation must behave correctly).

Keyboard shortcut to switch between Hebrew and English layouts.

File saving

Save/load in .odt or .docx (so compatible with Word later if needed).

Auto-save enabled by default.

Easy USB save/load.

Printing

Direct USB printing.

Basic page setup: margins + orientation.

Editing basics

Undo/redo.
