Pi & Octopus Motor Control

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I already have a Raspberry Pi 3A+ wired to a BigTreeTech Octopus v1.1 and six Nema17 steppers. Hardware is in place; what I am missing is the software layer to bring everything to life.

Your task is to guide me through the complete software setup and configuration: flashing the Octopus with the right firmware, defining the pin map for all six motors, setting current limits, and making sure the Pi can send reliable motion commands. I am open to Klipper, Marlin, or a clean Python-based control stack—whichever you feel will give the most stable, configurable result on this board. If additional utilities such as GPIO libraries, CAN bus settings, or OctoPrint plugins are required, please factor those into the process as well.

I’d like, by the end, to have:
• Firmware compiled, flashed, and tested on the Octopus v1.1
• A set of config files (or Python scripts) that move each motor individually and in coordinated patterns
• Step-by-step documentation so I can reproduce the setup or restore it on a fresh SD card

Experience with Raspberry Pi Linux environments and multi-axis stepper systems is key. If you have tackled BigTreeTech boards before, that will be a big plus.
the main problem is ı can not drive 4.5.and 6. motor so need to change config.files of octopus marlin but ı could not do it.
