Hardware Engineer Needed for Raspberry Pi 4 Device Assembly
Description:
We are building a compact, phone-sized device powered by Raspberry Pi 4, integrating multiple peripherals including a high-resolution touch display, USB camera, microphone array, speaker, and cooling system.
We’re looking for a hardware engineer who can:
Assemble and connect all components into a working setup.
Ensure proper integration of the display, camera, microphone array, speaker, and cooling fan with the Raspberry Pi 4.
Handle cable management, port alignment, and secure mounting of components.
Perform initial power-on testing and verify all hardware is functioning correctly.
(Optional but preferred) Design a 3D-printed or CNC enclosure for a polished, handheld finish.
Key Components (will be provided):
Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (4 GB) with official case, fan, and microSD card (unprogrammed)
5.5″ 2K capacitive touch HDMI IPS display (1440×2560)
USB microphone array with DSP & beamforming
USB 8 MP camera module (UVC plug-and-play)
8Ω 2W speaker
Official micro-HDMI to HDMI cables (two lengths)
Requirements:
Proven experience in assembling and integrating Raspberry Pi hardware and peripherals.
Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and compatibility issues.
Familiarity with compact device assembly and component mounting.
Bonus: Experience in 3D CAD design for custom cases.
Deliverables:
Fully assembled and tested hardware setup ready for software integration.
(optional) 3D case design files and recommendations for fabrication.
