Charging Hub Integration & Prototype

Job ID: 39923795

Budget: €250 – €750 EUR

I have an existing product design that needs a versatile, all-in-one charging hub built in and a cable that comes with it. Your task is to engineer the electronics, adapt the enclosure if required, assemble a fully working prototype, verify it powers everything on my list, and then ship the finished unit to me. I will give specific details on the charging hub (power in Watts and type or port)

Key functionality
• Simultaneous charging for Smartphones, Tablets, Laptops, a Keyboard, Mouse, gaming Headset, Microphone, monitor, and other small USB-powered devices.
• Safe power-management circuitry, USB-C Power Delivery, fast-charge protocols, overload and thermal protection.
• Clean integration so the hub fits the look, feel, and dimensions of my current design without visible hacks.

What I expect as deliverables
1. Circuit schematic, PCB layout, and BOM ready for small-run manufacturing.
2. Updated 3D files or mechanical drawings if the enclosure needs tweaks for ports, airflow, or mounting points.
3. One fully assembled, tested prototype demonstrating all charging outputs under load.
4. Basic test report confirming voltage, current, and thermals.
5. Secure packaging and shipment to my address (I’ll cover shipping costs separately).

Skills that will help you succeed
• Hardware design (USB-C PD, QC, or similar fast-charge standards).
• PCB layout and firmware (if a controller or MCU is required).
• Rapid prototyping—3D printing, CNC, or other small-batch techniques.
• Practical understanding of safety certifications (CE/FCC) so the design can scale later.

Timeline is flexible but I prefer a functional unit within 2–4 weeks. Let me know which charging ICs or modules you’d propose, any questions about my existing CAD files, and how you plan to validate the prototype before shipping.
