JOB Description: RF and Electronics Engineer with a focus on RF systems’ design and modelling required join a team of R&D electronics engineers at Chevalier Technologies Ltd. The company is a tier one supplier of cutting-edge technologies predominantly for the automotive industry.

Employment Contract: Fulltime Permanent

Salary: Negotiable with a range from £40-£70k + annual performance bonus

Location: Park Royal Concord, West London W3 –

Start Date: Immediate

Working Hours & Conditions: 9am till 5pm, (occasional travel required)

Role & Responsibilities: reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, as an RF and Electronics Engineer your focus will be on designing and developing systems controlled by microprocessors for wireless applications. The scope of your duties include:
1. Analysing and modelling RF systems in the spheres of:
a. Near Field Communications “NFC” High Frequency RFID (13.56 MHz) in the form of readers and tags
b. Wi-Fi frequencies ranging from 2.4GHz to 10GHz, including the very short-range hoping frequency of Bluetooth to pulse-radio UWB (500MHz bandwidth).
2. Programming DSP and microcontrollers.
3. Designing antennae and near field couplers.
4. Design and developing systems based on mixed signal configuration and circuitry
5. Writing technical reports and specifications
6. Ensuring compliance with timelines and safe and secure storing of data
Candidate Background: you must have at least a degree in RF and electronics engineering with proven good level of experience and achievements in:
7. Design of RF antennae, transmitters and receivers, as well as RF circuitry,
8. EMI management and control methodology for EM compliance,
9. Testing, EM simulation and spectrum analysis,
10. Use of specialist RF development and analysis tools and software such as COMSOL Multiphysics, RF Module and spectrum analysers
11. Embedded software programming
12. Knowledge of Amplifiers, Splitters, Combiners, Switches, Frequency Converters & Shielding Techniques
