Job ID: 32049866

Budget: $10 – $30 CAD

You are helping a caritative foundation in their 2021 annual campaign. That foundation has been around for about a decade, and they have been collecting some information on members who join. They have a long list of members with additional information about them. To increase the amount raised, they have decided to call personally some members in that list. Doing robot call is out of question, so there is a non-negligible cost for doing these calls. The first 60,000 calls are only $5 per call, but additional calls beyond 60,000 require renting space, hiring people, and training them. Their cost is evaluated to 25$ per call.
Your role is to decide who should be called to maximize the donations received. People do not need to be called to give – your call may encourage or discourage them, depending on their personality.
Data:
A zip file containing the data is available on ZoneCours. The data is split between different files:
• MembersList.csv: Contains basic information about the members of the foundation as of 2019. Each member is identified with a unique ID.
• DonationHistory.csv: Is a list of all donations that were made up to 2020. Note that there is a maximum of one donation per year per person.
• ListContacted2020.csv: You have convinced the foundation to do a pilot study in 2020. The list of IDs in this file were randomly select, then called in 2020. Their donations in 2020 will reflect the fact that they were called.
• NewsLetterRead.csv: Using their mass mailing software, the foundation was able to track who opened the email newsletter in 2019 – we chose 2019 to make sure the phone calls did not have an effect on the newsletter. The information is provided month by month. All members are registered to the Newsletter, but not all read it (of course).
• SocialNetworkUsage.csv: The foundation has obtained information about users of their social media page for 2019. Not all members visit that page, and non-members are welcome too. Of course, the social media platform does not have the members IDs, but they have their names.
• Sample-Big5Questionnaire.csv: Some members agreed to fill a personality test based on 15 questions that can be used to assess their profile. You may also try to exploit that information. The variable names are adjectives, and the questions were: On a scale from 1 = “not at all” to 10 = “absolutely”, do you consider yourself (insert the adjective here).
How to play the game:
You need to prepare a one column CSV file with the list of IDs of the members to call
