R program / simple game
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
One time small project. I need a number to pop up on the screen. No need for excellent graphics or advanced visualization. I have a similar program but Freelancer doesn't allow me to post the link here.
Main requirements: i. Can log in and change parameters when necessary, ii. Multiple players can play multiple times iii. Ability to download data in excel or any other form Full details:
Goal: Eat or don't eat berries (numbers).
1. Show a histogram of frequency of good berries by size (numbers will show on the screen and individual click eat or avoid). Use a random number generator to develop this histogram. Then the histogram will different each time. e.g. histogram of normal with mean 40 and std dev 10 just as in the gold/silver game in the link above. So that the individual can see how these numbers are distributed. Locations of the numbers must be saved and need to download later.
2. A number shows in the screen: Ranges from 1-100 and representation is just a number, “35” “72” etc. Screen shows buttons: 1. Eat, 2. Avoid, 3. Health, 4. Life, 5. Last choice-correct or wrong (green/red), 6. five last chooses - right or wrong (green - correct choice and red - wrong choice), 7. summary tab on the top
• A number appears on the screen. If the individual click "Eat" the individual eats the berry. If the individual click "Avoid" the individual does not eat the berry.
• Only 50 berries shown (numbers - repeated values). In other words, do several rounds where each round is 50 berries shown sequentially each represented by a number (from 1 to 100). Individual chooses to eat or not to eat. Beginning state: Health - 50 Life - 50 Zero health - die Objective: high score
• Health is boosted by an amount, b (determined by researcher), if the agent eats a good berry. This is clearly observable to the individual (need to control this value).
• Health is reduced by an amount, r (determined by researcher), if the agent eats a bad berry. This is clearly observable to the individual (need to control this value).
• If the health counter is greater than zero, H>0, after the swipe, then the individual is presented with another berry and the game continues, otherwise the game ends. Game also ends when 50 berries (numbers) are shown.
Session 1:
Step 1 has good berry eat=1 and bad berry eat =0
Step 2 has good berry eat=1 and bad berry eat =-1
Step 3 has good berry eat=1 and bad berry eat =-2
Then we can go to “Session2” where we add information about bad berries.
Show histogram so can see distribution of bad berries. E.g. they have mean of 60 and std dev of 10. Go through same payoff rounds as above and see if what individual's responses to each berry - Eat or Avoid (need to save these data).
Then go to “Session 3” where add information about population size. E.g. show that population size is 75% good berry and go through same payoff rounds and see what individual's responses to each berry - Eat or Avoid (need to save these data).
Then show population size is 50% good berry and go through same payoff rounds and see what individual's responses to each berry - Eat or Avoid (need to save these data).
Then show population size is 25% good berry and go through same payoff rounds and see what individual's responses to each berry - Eat or Avoid (need to save these data).
Thanks!
