Statistical consult / R / (Ordinal) logit / model fit

Statistical consult to model an outcome with values on an ordinal scale (low, middle, high, etc.) using continuous predictors in a panel dataset. The model must be implemented in R. The solution can be a simpler model reclassifying the outcome into a binary outcome (high/low); and a more complex model that takes advantage of additional variation in the data. The sample contains ca. 500 observations. The solution needs to have an explanation for the model choice, descriptive statistics, model fit, interpretation of results. Delivery should include the source code.
