R / Shiny analysis application help please needed

Job ID: 31195219

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

Hi,

I have a computer-vision-type, video-based golf club analysis application written in R/Shiny. It was largely completed years ago already and has basically just been sitting on my desktop. It will never be commercially viable for various reasons. But the contractor was a fabulous individual, plus some of the workings in the R/Shiny format were terrific.

More recently, contractors I have tried for rebuilding the application in a more suitable language(s) have been less than terrific to say the least and failed terribly (potentially contributed to by my almost non-existent remaining funds at this point). So I thought I would briefly try to revisit the R/Shiny version to see if it can be brought to a somewhat usable condition. It would still not be commercially viable from what I can tell. But it might at least be used as an effective reference to rebuild better and might even suffice for getting at least some initial intellectual property rights for it.

Very broadly and most critically, the application was never quite technically finished. This was because of certain disappointments and failures at the time. But it is missing only one or two steps at the end, where a final solution(s) needs to be mathematically calculated and presented based on data gotten to that point. There are other isolated spots that could hopefully be improved also, but even without that and if adding and finishing the final step(s) the application can work decently under limited conditions for providing a usable preliminary solution(s).

Beyond that and somewhat more minor, a couple of things that immediately come to mind are whether the present application as a whole might be made more useful at this point if reconfigured into a desktop version, if so what the time and cost might be for that, and (assuming it will need to be rebuilt to be commercially usable) whether a desktop or web version would be better to reference when rebuilding the application. (In the end both desktop and web versions would likely be developed.) I mean to this day I do not really know whether needed features that cannot be implemented effectively in the present version are due more to R, Shiny, the video analysis requirements, aspects of being web based, and/or perhaps a combination of various elements as examples.

I do realize that more application details may be needed in order to make any decent time and/or cost quotes or estimates, and I have plenty of such details. But I would ask that an NDA please be signed before providing such further information to any interested and qualified parties. I am open to hourly or project rates. Thank you very much.
