Junior Quant Developer (Front End)
Budget: £3,000 – £5,000 GBP
The project:
Own and deliver on a Front-End UI project for the investment team in a top-performing London Investment Manager firm. You will work closely with myself, the Quant on the team.
We are looking for a young and motivated candidate who is interested in learning about the investment industry. We need the delivery of an R Shiny app that will facilitate a better link between the statistical analyses we do in quant and the decision makers who need to consume them.
We are more interested in hiring someone who has a long term ambition of being in the industry, rather than a specialized R Shiny developer who has no interest in the subject matter. Subsequently we are willing to hire someone without the complete set of skills, provided they show they are self-motivated and willing to learn independently and on the job.
Required profile:
Previous experience of working on user apps with Shiny with data read & write functionality
Skilled in data pipelining, storage and integration
Excellent data presentation skills
Base subject matter understanding
Comprehension of statistical concepts and analyses
Desired profile:
Passion for UI design
Interest in finance and financial markets
Good team player
Previous exposure to quantitative financial analyses
