Curate a Multilayer Perceptron Algorithm

Currently, we are working with transcriptomic data (gene expression) from biological samples. This variable expression profile allows us to classify the samples into 4 different categories.
The algorithm that we currently use consists of a Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) that we suspect is poorly trained (we have some samples that give us a result completely opposite to what was expected). This algorithm is currently applied with the SPSS program, fed with tables of data that collect the individual values for each of the genes analyzed in each sample.
The job would consist of reviewing the algorithm's work and properly training it to accurately reclassify the samples. Furthermore, we want to migrate the analysis to a different and more traceable platform (for instance, R)
