Quantum Machine Node Penetration Tester
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Penetration Tester specializing in quantum computing infrastructure and machine node security. This role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities in quantum computing systems, quantum networks, and associated infrastructure before they can be exploited by malicious actors.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive penetration testing on quantum computing nodes and quantum machine infrastructure
• Assess security vulnerabilities in quantum key distribution (QKD) systems and quantum network communications
• Evaluate post-quantum cryptography implementations and identify weaknesses
• Test quantum-resistant algorithms and their implementations for vulnerabilities
• Perform security assessments on quantum machine node.
• Analyze quantum interfaces, control systems, and measurement planes for security flaws
• Document findings with detailed technical reports including risk ratings and remediation strategies
• Simulate advanced persistent threats (APTs) targeting quantum infrastructure
• Stay current on emerging quantum computing threats and post-quantum cryptographic standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Technical Skills:
• 5+ years of penetration testing experience with at least 2 years in quantum or emerging technologies
• Deep understanding of quantum computing principles including qubits, quantum gates, and quantum algorithms
• Expertise in post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards (NIST-approved algorithms like CRYSTALS-Kyber, CRYSTALS-Dilithium)
• Advanced knowledge of cryptographic protocols and their quantum vulnerabilities
• Experience with quantum simulation tools and quantum development platforms (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
Quantum-Specific Knowledge:
• Understanding of quantum threat models and quantum attack vectors
• Knowledge of quantum-safe security principles and quantum random number generation (QRNG)
• Familiarity with quantum network architectures and quantum internet protocols
• Experience with hybrid classical-quantum systems security assessment
