QUALITATIVE RESEARCHER REQUIRED - Qualitative Findings Alignment for Thesis

Job ID: 39997267

Budget: $250 – $750 AUD

*** PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF you can show a published QUALITATIVE paper or thesis and have a researchgate ID OR published B+ qualitative journal papers.

I’m completing the discussion chapter of my PhD and need a sharp research assistant to help me align my novel basic statistical and qualitative findings with the current body of literature.

The core task is data matching to literature and theories used - teasing out where my themes sit within— most is novel so will be challenging current literature in many cases.

Please note I am not working and don't have a grant, so $300 USD is my absolute max budget.

Must be in Australian time zone for zoom check-in.

Ideal for someone who has been awarded a top-notch qualitative PhD thesis or early researcher.

You’ll be working with my findings and references (and others if you find better) to determine, similar, extending, disagreeing or novel with proof of that from the literature. Although data is predominately qualitative you will need to understand all methodologies to match data and findings from other literature and theory.

You need to provide a summary of each section with those insights into a persuasive, academic discussion that would stand up in an A-level journal (APA7). Ideally, some knowledge of health/JDR/BPSC models AND business/leadership literature would be fantastic.

Must have excellent written English and Academic writing experience in discussion sections.

Comfort with thematic analysis is essential, but you must also be able to read statistical results fluently enough to highlight convergences and divergences between my qualitative themes and key quantitative studies.

You must understand how to do it with minimal supervision so that I can spend my time writing it all up.

Deliverables

• A structured mapping (matrix or equivalent) that links each core theme in my data to specific peer-reviewed studies results and whether it matches, extends, disagrees or is novel. You need to back it up with specific evidence and quotes with proper referencing.
• Annotated notes explaining how each linkage strengthens, refines or disputes existing theory and the model I am using
• Draft prose ready that I can review and then adapt into my discussion chapter, fully referenced in APA 7th

I’ll share finding excerpts, literature review references, and theory in play. If you can turn rich qualitative insight into a crisp, journal-grade argument—while bridging the qualitative–quantitative divide—let’s talk timelines and milestones.

You will need to provide evidence of your writing and expertise. This is likely a 20 hour or so project, to be delivered in sections over 2-3weeks.

I need someone super efficient, using powerful search tools to quickly find matches and determine if relevant. MUST NOT PUT MY DATA INTO AI.

You will need to do test run with small section of data, so I can see the quality of output and confirm you understand what is required before I assign the project.

You will also need to sign a NDA and confirm that data will pass turnitin clearance.

You also need Endnote and access to all types of journals as many are not open sourced.

Thanks
