Installer-Developer for complex Windows application (m/f/d)
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
We need to create an installer for a complex Windows application, containing the following components:
- UI – an executable created in Qt, shall be installed together with the Qt components
- Device driver – DLLs and auxiliary files
- Python application – python files and dependencies, we are using Anaconda
distribution
- Data files – they shall be chosen depending on the NVIDIA GPU type on user's
computer and downloaded during installation. Therefore, the installer shall be able to
detect the GPU type.
System Requirements to the installer:
- Windows 10 and 11
- NVIDIA GPU
Goal:
It shall be a network installer, i.e., it shall be small and download all necessary files during installation. The installation process shall create an "unboxing" user experience, i.e., show a sequence of pictures and text while installing. We will provide a Figma design with images, texts and CSS. After installation, our application shall be able to update itself from the server using the same resources as for the installer.
Must have skills:
- Experience (preferably in Senior level) with customized Windows network installers
- Experience with self-updating Windows applications
- Written and spoken English
- German nice to have
