Cross-Platform DICOM Router Rebuild

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I am ready to commission a fresh, cross-platform rewrite of the DICOM routing desktop application my team has relied on for years. You will receive a fully functional Windows build with a demo license so you can study every screen, workflow, and edge case; however, no original source code is available, so the new codebase must be written from scratch.

Core behavior to replicate
• The program runs quietly as a background service, yet offers a desktop UI that lists every exam received and its status in real time and ability to use the features mentioned
• It must accept DICOM images both over standard C-STORE (TCP/IP) and through and import function.
• All studies are stored locally in an internal archive that the UI can browse and search.

Essential toolset inside the UI
• Forward any study—or a selection of series—to other DICOM destinations. - Also Auto Routing option.
• Inline DICOM tag editor.
• One-click creation of a patient CD/DVD image or compressed .zip package (complete with viewer and DICOMDIR).
• Our current build also attaches non-DICOM documents to studies; bring this across if practical.

Licensing & deployment
A lightweight installer is required for both Windows and macOS, with minimal prerequisites. The application must verify a licence at start-up and expose a “Licence Manager” dialogue. A separate licence-key generator utility (CLI or small GUI) should be delivered so I can create time-limited or perpetual keys without touching the main codebase.

Acceptance checklist for hand-off
1. Builds for latest Windows 10/11 and macOS Ventura/Sonoma.
2. Service starts automatically and survives user logoff.
3. Receive, list, forward, edit, and export functions work exactly as in the reference build.
4. Licence check blocks unauthorised use and honours the key format we define together.
5. Source code, build scripts, and brief developer setup notes are supplied so future maintenance is straightforward.

If you have experience with toolkits such as Qt, Electron, .NET MAUI, or similar cross-platform stacks and a solid grasp of the DICOM protocol, I would love to see examples of your previous work.
