Python 3 / Pytorch Neural Networks in our codebase

We're looking for a part-time contributor to our Machine Learning projects.
About Your Role
We are constantly experimenting with our various computer vision models on large production datasets. You will work directly with the CEO and other engineers to design/build/evaluate experiments, and deploy them scalably to production. Past projects included hyperparameter searches on our existing models, training new models for unique tasks, and manually tweaking model architecture to add new inputs and outputs.
Requirements:
- Strong in Python 3 + PyTorch
- Conversant in modern neural network architectures
- Good with computer vision architectures (image inputs, convolutional layers, image preprocessing)
- Is comfortable with using an EC2 instance we provide for development
- Can work independently, is a self-learner, and can self-unblock when stuck
- Loves learning new skills (for example: new architectures, new frameworks, and running machine learning models in a variety of environments)
- Is comfortable in a variety of engineering settings, from training models, to scalable software engineering, to quick-and-dirty python scripts
- Good English skills and is willing to sync on a Zoom call 2x/week between 8am and 4pm Pacific time
- Can use Jira and a calendar app to stay organized
