script/program to batch process images (apply perspective transform, convert to B&W, crop, invert)

I would like to log hourly usage from a (non-smart) electricity meter. I have a Raspberry PI with a camera which is taking photos (see attached SmartMeter.zip for example source images), and I would like to pre-process the images suitable for feeding to OCR. (see 2022-09-16T16:10:01_processed.png for example suitable for OCR processing)
I would like a script or program that takes a source image and applies transformations to achieve the processed image. The technology used would need to run on a raspberry pi, so java, nodejs, python, or some image processing app or library (gimp, imagemagick etc)
