python bs4 script (or anything) to extract all elements after specific tags and keep them as python variable (or list of variables)

I have a html output coming out of another program with three types of tags MULTIPLE CHOICE, MATCHING and ESSAY. There are varying number of questions under each of these tags. Some outputs may contain all these three tags and some may contain at least one. Each will have different number of questions. I need to create python lists of all MULTIPLE CHOICE , MATCHING and ESSAY questions.
