neo4j cypher & python scripts for graph algorithms
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
We are posting this network graph project to help us to identify suitable freelancers who will be able to assist us on future projects as we develop our graph-based application. For this project, we are currently seeking up to 4 freelancers experienced in neo4j/network graphs to:
• create Cypher code to extract data from a neo4j database (you will be given access to a neo4j “sandbox” for extracting sample data)
• use python library NetworkX to create a network graph and run network graph algorithms (appropriate to the *scenario provided) with the extracted data from neo4j
• visualise the network graph (using both python libraries NetworkX and PyVis) – including the addition of weighted edges and network algorithm scores to the visualisation for easier interpretation
• output the resulting network algorithm graph scores to an edge-list type dataframe for subsequent processing
• provide your code in both a jupyter notebook .ipynb file and python .py file
• provide any additional suggestions on network graphs, including:
o suitable graph databases (we are currently using neo4j but open to trying other option)
o cost-effective network graph hosting options
*Each freelancer will be given a “scenario” from which to extract the appropriate data.
Estimated timeframe: 1 working day (from awarding of job). This timeframe should be feasible if you are experienced in the skills requested.
Estimated budget: $50AUD per freelancer
Skills Required
• Neo4j
• Cypher
• NetworkX
• PyVis
If you are interested in this project, please provide:
• an example of a network graph algorithm you’ve used in the past and its associated use case;
• an example of a network graph visualisation you’ve created using NetworkX; and
• an example of a network graph visualisation you’ve created using PyVis
Answering the above question helps us filter out automated replies. If you do not reply to the above questions, then you will not be considered for this project.
If you are shortlisted for this project, you will be contacted with further information (including a Non-Disclosure Agreement which freelancers must sign prior to starting the project).
