java bash alias (little help is all)?

PLEASE NOTE: HERE IS THE task

1) Have 2 java programs getRecord & insertRecord
2) trying to setup aliases (or perhaps you have a better suggestion), so I can call these in a script and CLI
3) would like to have getRecord & insertRecord in CLI and be able to script with them (rephrasing above)
4) just a scripted way to make it work (not in .profile yet) just for now script

alias getRecord='/usr/bin/java -classpath /Users/ej/repos/tracking-db-client/d_jar/jtds-1.3.1.jar: getRecord'
alias insRecord='/usr/bin/java -classpath /Users/ej/repos/tracking-db-client/d_jar/jtds-1.3.1.jar: insertRecord'

The command syntax is:
insRecord 55 TAXING_1.2.3.4 APACHE pvcsusr TAXING /VOL1 EJ
getRecord 55
