install python on ubuntu

we having some existing python scripts. and looking some one who can help to setup below things.
1. install python on fresh ubuntu desktop (virtual PC)
2. current script developed for windows PC, looking to migrate for ubuntu
3. double click run the command usign bat/sh etc.
4. schedule script using task schedule similar with ubuntu
end result.. the script should auto schedule to run (one a week) and easy to run on needed basis by double click
