One of our clients has a fully functional Python-based terminal program that aids the blind by detecting objects and providing verbal directions to them. They want to convert it into iOS APP MVP.
The Python program detects the object and provides directions to it, like 'left 2 meters' and repeating the instruction until you reach it (so it guides you to reach the object), once you reach it, it stops.
You can use a pre-trained model, as long as it covers the list of objects i need it to detect (around 50). The python version uses a pretrained Yolov8 model in addition to a custom yolov8 model just for detecting doors.
The client can provide a full research paper and GitHub repository, but only once they award you the project since it's confidential. Plus, we will have a meeting to explain everything; the meeting can be before they award the project.
Estimated Effort of 40-50 Hours.
Per Hour Rate: INR 600 Max.
- Proficient in iOS app development.
- Experienced with object recognition technology.
- Strong background in implementing speech recognition systems.
- Prior experience with Python to iOS conversion is a plus.
