google maps (satellite image) download and stitch tiles (personal use)
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am looking for a freelancer to either scrape and stitch together satellite images from multiple top/left & bottom/right GPS coordinates around the world, in high resolution (7 or above - depending on what is available for that location)
The ideal candidate should have experience in web scraping and be proficient in using Google Maps API. Here are the project requirements:
Build a Windows program, that does the following:
1. looks for a text file in its directory, having top, left, bottom, right GPS coordinates
2. checks to see best possible image quality (zoom) for that area (based on the lowest res tile)
3. downloads each tile
4. have an on/off option to readjust/skew/stretch each tile images based on earth's curvature and area in tile.
5. stitches all the tiles automatically
6. allow to save stitched output as bmp, png or jpg. JPG has option to change compression rate (30-100%)
Use:
The calls will be under my personal gmail account, with all API charges covered by my personal account.
The program will be used for personal use only and will not be given to an y3rd party
Processing:
- No need for image enhancement or processing, raw images are fine
Skills:
- Proficient in web scraping and Google Maps API, python, SOURCE IN DELPHI IS A BIG PLUS TO WIN!!

- Previous experience in similar projects is preferred
