A function that calculates the cumulative average of specified columns

I need someone who has experience working with Python and dataframes. I'm looking for a function that can calculate the cumulative average of specific columns in a given dataframe.
The freelancer should be able to provide proof that they have the capability to complete this task.
Averages for the most recent n-rows for every unique value (HomeTeam and AwayTeam). if a team does not have up to the quired n-rows, calculate the average based on the existing data.
The function takes three arguments: func(curr_data, hist_data, num_matches) and creates new columns with cumulative averages for the specified old columns:
