eDiscovery Email Metadata Conversion Script
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for a skilled programmer to develop a Python or PowerShell script that can convert metadata from documents downloaded from an eDiscovery platform into standard email format (.eml files) suitable for Microsoft Outlook.
The source data comprises:
- An Excel file containing email metadata (sender, recipient, date, subject, etc.)
- Text files containing email body content
- PDF and other attachments in separate folders
The script should produce properly formatted .eml files that contain:
- Header information (From, To, Date, Subject)
- Email body content
- Linked attachments
Deliverables should include:
- A functioning, well-commented script
- Brief documentation on usage
- Output files in .eml format, ready for import to Microsoft Outlook
Ideal skills and experience for this job include:
- Proficiency in Python or PowerShell scripting
- Proven experience with file format conversion
- Basic understanding of email formats (EML/MSG)
