There are several options a translator may use when facing the translation within a particular context, namely: Adaptation, Linguistic amplification, Clarification, Calque, Compensation, Linguistic compression, Discursive creation, Description, Elision, Coined equivalent, Generalisation, Modulation, Particularisation, Loan, Substitution, Literal translation, Transposition, and Variation. For some of these choices emotion and sentiment can be diluted or lost.

In this project you will develop a tool that enables a researcher to compare the translations of movie script dialogue to highlight possible differences in sentiment or emotion. The tool should allow a researcher to select, navigate and visually explore these differences.
