E-commerce Data Scraping Specialist
Budget: £750 – £1,500 GBP
I am looking for a Python developer to assist with a project focused on building a SaaS platform for product data, product matching, and competitor analysis in for b2b businesses. The ideal candidate will have experience in web scraping, data extraction, and Google Sheets integration.
Project Overview:
Scrape manufacturer websites to collect comprehensive product data.
Scrape distributor websites to gather comparison data for pricing, stock, and availability.
Automate data entry into a structured Google Sheets database, aligning with the existing format.
Ensure data accuracy and completeness, prioritizing manufacturer data when discrepancies arise.
Support dynamic data updates as new distributors are added.
Key Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries like BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, or Playwright.
Experience with Google Sheets API for data insertion and management.
Ability to handle diverse data structures and formats (JSON, CSV, HTML tables, etc.).
Understanding of web scraping best practices, including handling dynamic content and avoiding bot detection.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Additional Considerations:
Familiarity with B2B distribution and technical product data is advantageous.
Ability to collaborate on data structuring and workflow optimization.
Deliverables:
