# E-commerce Data Collection Specialist
## About the Role
We're seeking an experienced developer to build a sophisticated data collection solution for e-commerce platforms (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra etc.). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in web scraping techniques that respect website terms of service while collecting the data we need for market analysis.
## Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop a scalable e-commerce data collection system
- Implement rate limiting, request randomization, and other compliance measures
- Create proxy rotation systems to distribute requests appropriately
- Develop strategies to handle CAPTCHA challenges and other anti-bot measures
- Ensure all collected data is properly structured, validated, and stored
- Maintain and update the system as e-commerce platforms evolve their structures
## Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years experience with web scraping technologies (Scrapy, Selenium, Playwright, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Experience with IP rotation, user-agent management, and request fingerprinting
- Understanding of website terms of service and ethical data collection practices
- Familiarity with HTTP protocols, HTML parsing, and DOM manipulation
- Knowledge of data storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL databases)
## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience specifically with e-commerce platform data collection
- Knowledge of headless browsers and browser fingerprinting techniques
- Experience with distributed systems and queue management
- Familiarity with legal aspects of web scraping and data collection
