An animation from a dataset

I have a numerical column of data and I want an animated heat map created. Either in python or R. The vertical axis will range from the min to the max of the data. The back ground of the animation will be solid red. As the animation steps through the rows of data, a white horizontal line will be drawn at each value. I want to be able adjust the speed of the animation too (in R or python). As an added bonus, if it's possible to make the white horizontal lines slowly transition back to red, for example 4 steps after the white line is placed it will become pink, after 4 more steps it will become darker, and eventually after 12 steps will be fully red again. Please indicated in your bid if you would use python or R, and please let me know if your bid includes the added bonus.
