Website Speed Increase (for custom built website)

Need to speed the mobile website speed increase for a website with this build;
a React single page app with a Django back end. We're hosted on Heroku and AWS and have a Postgres DB. We recently implemented CloudFront to fix some of these performance issues. We compress images via a Python library on the fly - we do not use an image CDN. We use Prerender for metadata management.
