Web scrapping for Baseball statistics site using Python
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I am looking for an experienced web scrapping expert to help me with a project I need done. The goal of this project is to scrape data from a baseball statistics website (https://www.baseball-reference.com/) using Python and export to a CSV file. The project is for my personal use and not associated with any existing or new business. The desired outputs from the scraping process should be in a .csv format. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with web scraping and be proficient in Python.
I need to record every at-bat for a specific MLB batter (with date of the game, team against, location, inning, score, outs, runners on base, pitch count, runs/outs during the play, team at bat, pitcher against), tagging when this player hit a HR or a double through his entire career and save it to a .csv file. Also, I need to record totals for games played, plate appearances, doubles and homeruns.
