VBA and Python Developer for Email Automation

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a skilled VBA and Python Developer to create an automation solution for Microsoft Outlook 2010. The objective is to develop a system that integrates OpenAI's ChatGPT to automatically draft responses to email inquiries based on a comprehensive FAQ and terms and conditions database. The solution should allow for both fully automated replies and human review and approval of responses based on email categories.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop a VBA macro to add a custom button to the Outlook 2010 ribbon.
• Create a script that processes unanswered emails one by one when the button is clicked.
• Integrate a Python script that uses OpenAI’s ChatGPT to generate email responses based on a provided FAQ and terms and conditions database.
IMPLEMENT FUNCTIONALITY TO CATEGORIZE EMAILS INTO THREE TYPES:
1) Automated Response Emails: Automatically reply to the sender, mark the received email as answered, and move it to a specific folder.
2) Manual Review Emails: Draft a response that is displayed for review and approval before sending.
3) Special Handling Emails: For inquiries requiring updates to sensitive information (e.g., bank details or address changes), generate a response, send it, and mark the email with a different color for further human action.
• Design and manage a database to store FAQs, scenarios, and terms and conditions, ensuring the AI can respond accurately to inquiries based on this information.
• For example, if a sender queries why they were not paid on the 5th of the month, the AI should respond based on the terms and conditions, such as explaining that payments are made only if a job was received by or before the cut-off date of the 25th of each month. This means, the Pytho Code/ ChatGPT code must check the Outlook Email based on that senders email and BookingID as finding out when it was received and then respond accordingly.
• Ensure the AI Response Bot can continually improve itself automatically based on previously fed information and additions and scenarios, similar to ChatGPT's continuous learning capabilities.
• Automate the sequential processing of emails, allowing the user to approve and send each reply individually.
• Implement error handling and security measures to ensure the solution runs smoothly and safely.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Proficiency in VBA for Outlook, including creating custom buttons and handling email events.
• Experience with Python scripting, particularly with the `openai` library.
• Strong understanding of integrating Python scripts with VBA.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook 2010 and its object model.
• Experience in database design and management, particularly for storing FAQs and terms and conditions.
• Knowledge of email handling, including reading, replying, and managing email items programmatically.
• Ability to implement security best practices in automated email processing.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
