AI & Software Engineer for Python-Based Integration of Consumer Kitchen Appliance -- 2

We are looking for an AI & Software Engineer to develop a customer-ready, production-quality software integration for our consumer kitchen appliance. Our mechanical and embedded systems are nearly complete, and we need someone to build a robust, scalable, and efficient software layer that enables seamless communication between the hardware (ESP32, Jetson Nano, sensors, actuators) and our AI-powered features.
This role involves working closely with our embedded systems team to ensure reliable, real-time data exchange, optimize performance, and implement user-friendly, fail-safe functionality for a consumer product.
Responsibilities:
Develop Python-based software to integrate AI-driven features into the appliance
Create production-ready code with a focus on stability, performance, and scalability
Implement data exchange pipelines between the microcontrollers (ESP32, Jetson Nano) and Python backend
Ensure real-time, low-latency control over the appliance’s functions
Develop an API or communication layer to facilitate AI-driven automation and decision-making
Process sensor data efficiently and implement real-time adjustments
Debug and troubleshoot software-hardware integration issues
Implement error handling, logging, and fail-safe mechanisms to ensure product reliability
(Optional) Implement cloud connectivity, remote control features, and over-the-air (OTA) updates
Ideal Candidate:
Proficient in Python with experience in real-time system integration
Strong background in IoT, embedded AI, or edge computing
Experience with data communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, MQTT, WebSockets)
Familiarity with AI/ML model deployment on embedded devices (preferred but not required)
Experience working with Jetson Nano, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or similar hardware
Strong understanding of scalability, error handling, and software optimization for consumer products
Prior experience in developing software for consumer appliances or IoT devices (preferred)
