Backend engineer with a strong focus on data and analysis.
Company and role:
We are a startup company with close ties to the US healthcare market building a unified database for healthcare consultants, “Bloomberg for medicine.”
We have currently aggregated all public medical information, have access to large amounts of claims data and are likely to incorporate other sources as we get more access. We are now looking to make use of it.
We have partnered up with 5 large consultancy firm partners with authoritative experience (e.g. Providence Health & Services chief of strategy, Trinity Health VP) who are guiding us towards Product Market Fit and are ready to sell whatever value we create for hospitals or players in the general healthcare space. We are well connected with VCs and other previously successful founders who will help us scale when the time comes.
This is an incredible opportunity to work close with titans in the US healthcare space, to have real impact and to grow one’s career.
Your main task will be:
Understand the underlying data exceptionally well
Learn about the medical space to see how we can best take advantage of the data
Make changes to the ETL pipes to fit business needs (Python, SQL and some systems programming)
Prepare the data for executive level presentations
Clearly communicate any needs, hurdles and blockers
Clear communication of ideas and insights
Required skills:
Python
SQL
Nice to have skills:
Some knowledge of systems
Cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS)
Tensorflow/Pytortch
