Slurry Flow Visualization Application Developer
Budget: ₹150,000 – ₹250,000 INR
Job Description: Slurry Flow Visualization Application Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Developer to create a specialized application for visualizing the flow of slurry in a wellbore using OpenFOAM and ParaView. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up the simulation in OpenFOAM, incorporating well survey and completion data, and utilizing ParaView for post-processing and visualization. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to contribute to the advancement of oil and gas industry technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Generate the mesh representing wellbore geometry using external meshing tools compatible with OpenFOAM, such as Gmsh, based on well survey data.
- Set up the simulation in OpenFOAM, defining fluid properties, specifying boundary conditions, and selecting appropriate solvers and numerical schemes.
- Execute the OpenFOAM simulation, ensuring convergence or reaching the desired time criteria.
- Post-process simulation results in ParaView, loading velocity, pressure, and concentration fields.
- Utilize ParaView's visualization capabilities to create visual representations of slurry flow in the wellbore.
- Set up color maps, contours, streamlines, and glyph representations to effectively visualize flow behavior.
- Create dynamic visualizations using ParaView's animation tools, if required.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in OpenFOAM and ParaView, and explore new techniques and features to enhance the application.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in OpenFOAM, with experience in setting up simulations and familiarity with case setup files and numerical schemes.
- Proficiency in ParaView, with expertise in post-processing and visualization of simulation results.
- Solid understanding of fluid dynamics and knowledge of oil and gas industry terminology and concepts.
- Experience with meshing tools such as Gmsh or similar software.
- Proficient in a programming language commonly used with OpenFOAM, such as C++ or Python.
- Familiarity with command-line interfaces and scripting for executing simulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and interpret simulation results.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Note: This job description outlines the general responsibilities and skill set required for the development of a slurry flow visualization application using OpenFOAM and ParaView. Specific project requirements may vary, and additional skills or qualifications may be necessary based on the project's scope and objectives.
