Simple Python Script

I want a python script that will mainly read data sets from several files, where each have some columns (data names inside the files & outside, as part of file name, should match for each column etc.). A simple conversion and a fit will be applied to some part of the data. Example files will be delivered for the work and what needs to be done is very clear (will be explained later) and simple.
