Senior NLP Software Engineer - AWS, LLMs
Budget: ₹750 – ₹1,250 INR
This is a part time position that will require 2-3 hours of your attention every day after standard Indian Business Hours. (10-15 hours weekly)
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in designing intricate solutions, and then leading their development to fruition, with a particular emphasis on using AWS Lex, Python, NLP, and Large Language Models.
Key Responsibilities:
• Architect and develop complex software solutions following agile/XP/TDD methodologies
• Spearhead the EHD chatbot agile team, crafting solutions that offer superior user experiences while aligning with business needs
• Establish industry best practices for Large Language Models, NLP, AWS Lex, and Python backend
• Guide and nurture the professional growth of junior and senior software developers
• Independently write efficient and well-organized code
• Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, developers, and product owners to build transformative solutions
• Maintain open and clear communication on team-wide progress, and proactively address any process or pattern impediments
• Oversee paired programming and code reviews, fostering team-wide knowledge sharing and understanding of software engineering
• Conduct independent research to refine best practices and share findings with the team
• Transform complex ideas into actionable tasks for efficient execution by the product team
• Provide technical insights to leadership to build innovative and sustainable solutions
• Understand the business drivers of a product and guide the technical direction of the product to meet its desired vision
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software development, or 7 years of experience coupled with an Associate Degree in an IT-related field. Ideally, candidates will present a portfolio of their work.
• Essential skills: Proficiency in AWS Lex, Terraform, Python, AWS Connect, API development, API gateway, NLP, LLMs, AWS Lambda development experience
• Preferred skills: Familiarity with secure coding practices
• Experience across a variety of software solutions, achieved through a balance of independent research/projects and industry expertise
• Demonstrable understanding of functional programming and the application of functional concepts across languages
• Ability to work comfortably across multiple platforms
• Ability to deconstruct complex ideas into user stories, provide reliable task estimates, and segment complex tasks into manageable components
• Previous collaborative experience within a cross-functional team setting
• In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle
• Proven ability to debug and develop robust solutions to avoid future issues
• Proven ability to learn from past experiences, to analyze mistakes/successes, draw conclusions, and design better solutions for the future
• Experience creating solutions with the team's collective efficiency in mind
• Proven experience in mentoring team members at various levels
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles like authentication, authorization, and encryption, and familiarity with common attack vectors and how to mitigate them
• Familiarity with one or more CI/CD stacks and associated best practices
