What we use:
BOS - PHP 5.6 - MySQL 5.5.62 - Apache
Currently we have 3 main ongoing projects, one is our self-built back-office system BOS, it is built upon PHP 5.6 and MySQL, and hosted on a small 2core dedicated server from Netcup. This system is the oldest, but the need it until an alternative is available, so we need a dev environment to fix errors and maybe prepare a jump to a higher PHP version.
Intranet - PHP 7.4 - MySQL 5.7 - Apache
Second one is the Intranet, it is built on PHP 7.4 and MySQL 5.7, also on a small dedicated Netcup server. This system is in active development and gets new features and overhauls on a regular basis.
KWW Homepage - Python 3 - Django 3.1.3 - NGINX
Last one is our Homepage which uses Python with Django as framework, this project was built for us and we need to fix and tweak it mostly, but as a homepage this needs more active development to adapt it to our needs. This one runs on AWS in an EC2 instance with RDS as database and Redis on the same server as cache. Also, it utilizes lambda functions and S3 for images, lambda for WebP conversion mainly.

What we want to use in the future:
We plan on implementing a more centralized setup with Pimcore, also we want to be able to manage and extend existing projects, setting the need for a configurable staging environment for this framework. We want to be able to manage a Pimcore 6 based install and develop Pimcore 10+ for new projects.
First and foremost, we need a local environment to get started, this would be possible with lamp or Laragon, but we lack experience with these since we used a parallel environment on the same server as the running BOS and Intranet Projects, this meant we we’re able to use the same configs in for example Apache to make sure releasing is just copying the code to the other folder. To accommodate that maybe a Linux Environment with WSL2 is better suited, but we are also comfortable with running entirely on VSCode Remote, because we already use this as our primary IDE. Using the console is quite necessary the more Linux we use, but, if possible, we would like to at least wrap a GUI around it to easily see what is happening.
The next big part would be Github, we want to implement it as much as possible, but not more than needed. Github Actions would be great for a Staging Environment I guess since it can automatically deploy the whole project, this would be awesome for Pimcore especially.
Lastly, we would like to be able to easily collaborate on code and projects, setting up something to investigate some new feature of a colleague would be quite painful and although screen sharing is a thing, we often edit the same file and sync it immediately when fixing issues, without the need for git push. This is a quite complex thing to do with local environments as I see it, we would very much appreciate suggestions here.
