Hello, need help with a small project. In this project, we examine the Schelling Model to show global patterns of spatial segregation arising from local effects of homophily. We assume that there is a population of individuals, called agents; each agent is of type X or type O. Agents care about whether they have at least some neighbors of the same type. Let us consider a threshold t common to all agents: if an agent discovers that fewer than t of its neighbors are of the same type as itself, then it is unsatisfied and has an interest in moving to a new cell. Agents move in a sequence of rounds: in each round, we consider the set of unsatisfied agents one row at a time working downward through the grid, and we randomly move each unsatisfied agent to an unoccupied cell where it will be satisfied.

In this project, we consider a 150-by-150 grid with 10000 agents of each type and 2500 empty cells, provided in the grid.txt file. Each line in the file contains a tab-separated list of agent types (’X’/’O’) corresponding to each row of the grid. The 2500 empty cells are indicated using the ’.’ symbol.
