SFTP Image Processor & Metadata Handler

I need a professional who can efficiently monitor an SFTP server for new JPEG image files, process these with accompanying metadata and classification files, and register them accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor SFTP server for incoming files
- Register new image files and metadata
- Process files: including EXIF data editing and timestamp extraction using OGR
- Push processed files via API requests
- Delete or archive moved files post processing

Technical Environment:
- All tasks will be executed within a Docker container on Ubuntu 24.04
- Python scripts will be utilized
- Data stored within a local PostgreSQL database

Available Infrastructure:
- Access to Git for code documentation and version control
- Ubuntu Server
- PostgreSQL set up in a separate Docker container
- SFTP server access via SSH

Ideal Candidate:
- Strong experience with Docker and Ubuntu
- Proficient in Python with experience writing and executing scripts
- Familiar with PostgreSQL and SFTP server management
- Skillful in image processing, metadata handling, and EXIF data editing
- Knowledge of using OGR for timestamp extraction
