Revamp EEG Headset with Pi

Job ID: 37746679

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

I'm in search of a skilled Python developer with a solid grounding in Raspberry-Pi, specifically for a project that involves re-engineering an existing product. The core aim is to integrate the Raspberry Pi for the purpose of testing an EEG headset, accompanied by an oscillator software. This initiative is pivotal for advancing our current capabilities in real-time data processing, directly from the EEG headset.

**Key Tasks for the Python Developer:** Take a look at the existing Python code that examines a WAVE file and tests it against a set parameters (re does the Wave file operate within the expected parameters). Software exists and has been used many times, a bit out of date - some improvements - need someone to one this. The software exists for -testing- the accuracy of an EEG headset.

- **Raspberry-Pi Hardware Integration:** The primary focus will be on integrating Raspberry-Pi with the existing EEG headset software. This includes setting up the hardware to facilitate real-time data processing. We have a oscillator cradle that tests the headset today. We want to develop something standalone that generates pre-formed waves at certain HZ and tests if the EEG headset is reading it correctly. Red bad green good. Basic QA/QSC work.

- **GPIO Manipulation Skills:** Since the project requires basic GPIO manipulation, familiarity with such operations on the Raspberry Pi is essential.

- **Real-Time Data Processing:** Implement functionality to process data in real-time from the EEG headset via the Raspberry Pi. This means enabling the headset and Pi to work in tandem seamlessly, ensuring live monitoring and analysis.

**Ideal Skills and Experience:**

- Proficiency in Python programming, with demonstrable experience in developing or re-engineering software applications.

- Experience with Raspberry-Pi, particularly in hardware integration and GPIO manipulation. Being able to interface Pi with other hardware components is crucial.

- Knowledge in handling real-time data processing tasks, ideally with experience in working with EEG headsets or similar technologies.

- Ability to collaboratively work on a project that sits at the intersection of hardware and software, ensuring reliability and efficiency in the re-engineered product.

This project presents an exciting opportunity for a developer interested in contributing to advancements in EEG technology through innovative Pi integration. If you're driven by challenges and possess the outlined skillset, I look forward to your bid and potentially working together to achieve success in this venture.
