Cross-Platform GPS Tracking GUI for Survey Equipment Using LoRa + Raspberry Pi Gateway

Description: We’re looking for a developer to build a cross-platform desktop application (Mac & Windows) that displays the live GPS locations of survey equipment being tracked in real time via a Raspberry Pi-based LoRa gateway.
The GUI should be user-friendly for non-technical users and allow basic management of tracked devices in the field and across city locations. The design should prioritize scalability, allowing us to add, edit, or remove equipment and associate them with incoming GPS data.
Features we need:
* A clean, modern desktop GUI with:
* A map interface using satellite imagery (e.g., Google Maps, Leaflet, etc.)
* Accurate display of GPS positions (within a few feet or meters)
* Device markers labeled clearly on the map
* Ability to register, edit, and remove equipment in a simple interface
* Option to refresh or ping devices to update locations live
* A lightweight, non-technical-friendly design
* Cross-platform support: Must run on both macOS and Windows (preferably via standalone installers or bundled executables)
Nice to have:
* Offline map support or cached maps for limited-connectivity zones
* Expandable backend that could support additional device types or data layers in the future
Preferred skills:
* Python (GUI development with PyWebview, PyQt, or similar)
* Mapping libraries: Google Maps API, Leaflet, or Folium
* Cross-platform packaging tools: PyInstaller, py2app, or similar
* Experience with GPS or IoT applications is a strong plus
