RaspberryPI I2C - MSP430 Application Issue. Possible "Power Issue"

We are working on an RaspberryPI application in python 3 which communicates with MSP430 device over I2C protocol.
Every thing works as expected with Raspberry PI powered through regular USB.
Issue
We want to power RaspberPI using GPIO using pins 2 and 4 for 5v and GND. When power using GPIO RaspbianOS work fine with no lightning bolt on top right or low voltage warning however our python application doesn't communicate.
