Raspberry Pi Pico camera to recognize golf ball

I would need a function for my raspberry Pico micro Python program that recognizes with a camera if there is a golf ball on tee. Tee is already at the same location. Distance from camera to tee is 30cm - 100 cm. There could be other golf balls in the background that do not matter, distance to them is always more than 30cm. Golf balls could be any color but always the same size, 43mm.
