Project Overview:
We are looking for an experienced IoT developer to program a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W device integrated with two specific HATs: a SIM7600G-H 4G/GNSS module and a Witty Pi 4 L3V7 power management and RTC module. The device setup includes a connected camera, a DHT environmental sensor, and a momentary button used for power/reset functions. Existing Python scripts cover basic device functionalities, excluding battery status management.
Technical Objectives:
Hardware Integration:
Configure and test the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W with:
- SIM7600G-H 4G HAT for cellular connectivity and GNSS positioning.
- Witty Pi 4 L3V7 for power management, real-time clock functions, and battery status reporting.
- Raspberry Pi Camera Module for image capturing.
- DHT sensor for environmental monitoring.
- Momentary button (power/reset).
Software Development:
Update existing Python codebase to:
- Collect telemetry data from the DHT sensor and battery status from Witty Pi.
- Capture images periodically or upon defined triggers.
- Establish secure connection to Azure IoT Central via 4G cellular network.
- Transmit telemetry data and images to respective Azure Blob storage containers.
Azure IoT Central Configuration:
Setup and configure Azure IoT Central with:
- Provisioning and management of 5 sample devices.
- Assignment of devices to 5 different tenants, ensuring data segregation and privacy.
- Dashboard configuration for real-time visualization and historical data review for telemetry data (temperature, humidity, battery status, and GPS location).
- Integration of Azure Blob Storage to manage and visualize uploaded images.
Collaborative Development Approach:
- Perform all development via remote access tools, ensuring full transparency and interactive sessions.
- Regular collaborative online meetings are required to demonstrate progress, guide Azure IoT Central configurations, and provide knowledge transfer.
Deliverables:
- Updated Python code for the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W.
- Fully operational Azure IoT Central dashboard with configured devices and tenants.
- Documentation covering setup procedures, deployment steps, and operation manuals.
