Quick R&D Projects - Long Term Collaboration -- 2
Budget: £100 – £150 GBP
I started a new data-analytics consultancy and seeking for hands-on data-scientists who are also willing to act as advisors and thought leaders.
This project and the rest of the projects I will be providing in the first phase, are very small-scale R&D projects for which I will be providing the pseudo-algorithm and you are expected to implement it using parallel programming on python. As we continue building a good business relationship you are welcome to propose your own R&D projects.
Although initially your skills will be utilised for R&D using mock-data, the goal is to be able to trust you with client work, when required.
The skills that you need for the initial batch of projects are:
-Good understanding of feature engineering
-Good python skills e.g knowledge of parallel programming in python (I would not expect you to write on numba if its not required, ideally you will have the capacity to use all the available cores and RAM for tasks that can be parallelised using the multiprocessing library or similar)
-Good understanding of classical ML algorithms and ensemble learning algorithms. Implementation must be on python
-You are not obsessed with Deep Learning (in the first phase we avoid it) but when you can guarantee reproducible improvements you are welcome to extend the project and get paid extra for it
-Good understanding of various unsupervised learning approaches
-You have a broad experience with data-science projects. Not only model-building but also utilising fuzzy matching, statistical testing, bayesian methods, converting pdf files to dataframes, webscraping e.t.c
-You write comments in your code and you are happy to explain your thought-process and why you did things differently
-You are happy to take feedback
This project is only open for UK-based freelancers, especially the ones based near or in London.
If you also have good data-engineering (actual experience you can showcase) skills, you will be prioritised
If you have a subset of the above mentioned skills, let me know exactly what your expertise is and we can find appropriate projects.
