Python script: typing text from a source which you just read

Problem:
Manually entering data from excel to another program (copy typing). The program has disabled copy & paste function. I've done a simple pyautogui script that copy and paste data, mouse clicks.
Solution:
I would like to create a simple pyautogui script for my keyboard/mouse that can read and enter data. Happy to use a different python library
Script I need:
1. Excel spreadsheet -- I need the data copied/read from one cell
2. Another program -- data copied typed into a specific field
