Python script of a rotating sphere with auroral emission

Job ID: 38304703

Budget: €30 – €250 EUR

NOTE: see attached figure for clarity

Description:

Sphere with grid (meridian and parallels) including:

1. Rotating and magnetic axes (with variable obliquity).
2. Dipolar magnetic field lines. The number of magnetic field lines is a variable.
3. Northern and southern auroral rings at certain variable magnetic co-latitude.
4. Emission cones originating at the intersection of the magnetic field lines and auroral rings (hollow cone with thickness and aperture --both variable).
5. Northern ring and cones are bluish; southern ring and cones are red-ish.

Actions:

1. The whole figure should rotate according to rotation axis.
2. Cones can be switch off for some/all magnetic field lines.
3. Different variables should be controlled by the user:
- Number of magnetic field lines
- Inclination: tilt of rotating axis
- Obliquity: angle between rotating and magnetic axes
- Colatitud: location of the auroral rings around magnetic axis
- Aperture: of the cone of emission
- Thickness: of the walls of the cone of emission
