Python script assistance

I'm wanting to connect to a Gmail account, search the inbox for an email and export that email. I was using SQLite for that part as I've been able to create a file but it continues to be blank and only shows the code I've inserted for the CREATE TABLE section. I know I'm logging into the Gmail account as I continue to get notifications for this. I can't seem to figure out where to go from here.
