Python script to GET data from the web. (First of several 4-hour projects) Total $80
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We need several Python 3 scripts that will go out to the web, submit a query through a GET statement, retrieve the results and put the results into an output file. It's pretty straightforward work. Each script will probably only take a couple of hours. But you need to have experience with Python 3 and experience with HTTP GET statements that can retrieve CSV and/or JSON data.
This project is for the first script, based on a 4-hour time estimate (probably two hours learning and communicating and two hours actually writing code.) If this is a success then I will contract for additional projects on either an hourly or project basis. Thus, it should work out to $20 an hour.
This will run on either a Raspberry Pi or else on an Apple Mac.
Please take just a moment to explain how much Python 3 experience you have and on what platform. I promise to read everything you write.
BTW, I am new to Freelancer so I am going through the learning curve on using this system.
You would be surprised by how many programmers respond to a posting and state they have read the description when they actually have not. It is a waste of time when they respond without reading. So in your reply to this posting please include the keyword XYZZY so that I know you actually read it and are not blindly responding to every posting.
